Axeda Systems Inc. , the world's leading provider of device relationship management (DRM) software and services, announced today that SIAPA (Sistema Intermunicipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado), the company that operates the Fresh Water Distribution System in Guadalajara, Mexico, has licensed Axeda Supervisor, a component of Axeda DRM technology to automate and control more than 100 fresh water wells facilities, 27 main distribution valves facilities, and several water reservoirs.
Before licensing Axeda DRM technology, SIAPA was experiencing multiple operational problems at the water plants. The constant need to send service personnel to operate pumping equipment and main distribution valves was time consuming and costly. Additionally, in remote locations where constant supervision was not feasible, there were significant issues with break-ins. The installation of Axeda's software technology in SIAPA's system has resulted in immediate benefits from real time monitoring of the physical operations, avoiding downtime and unnecessary field visits. Axeda Supervisor is also providing robust security of the facilities, enabling unauthorized access alarms to be sent immediately to company security personnel and local law enforcement.

The historical data generated by Axeda's Supervisor Wizcon Software is also being utilized in a wide variety of reports.
SIAPA selected Axeda Supervisor for several important reasons. Its unique web capabilities enable key SIAPA personnel to view and control Axeda Supervisor over SIAPA's secure Intranet, using only a standard web browser as the interface. Its advanced alarm management functions enable critical alarms and information to be sent via email, pager, or telephone to operators and managers on duty. And, Axeda Supervisor's flexible scheduling features automate the remote start/stop of pumps and valves in the field.
