ERNEST SADDLEMIRE.(CAPITAL REGION)

GUILDERLAND -- Ernest Saddlemire, 82, of Guilderland, died Saturday at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Knox, he had resided in Guilderland for over 30 years. Mr. Saddlemire was a bus driver for the Guilderland Central School District for over 20 years, retiring in 1978. He was founder and past fire chief of Knox Volunteer Fire Co. and past president of the Fort Hunter Volunteer Fire Co. Mr. Saddlemire was a member of the Lynnwood Reformed Church and the Guilderland Elks #2480. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Helen V.
